Disclaimer and conflicts of interest
Last updated
The test on this site is a screening of basic number skills, the program is education software, and neither is a diagnosis or medical advice. We also sell the program that the test result points to, so this page lists every commercial interest that could colour what you read here.
Not a diagnosis
Nothing on this site is medical or psychological advice, and no result is a diagnosis. Only a qualified professional, such as an educational psychologist or a neuropsychologist, can diagnose dyscalculia after a full assessment. The practice program is education software; it is not a therapy or a treatment and it does not cure anything.
Do not use a result to decide on schooling, accommodations or treatment on its own. If numbers are a lasting difficulty, talk to a teacher, a school psychologist or a doctor; see how dyscalculia is assessed.
What the numbers are
A result is the share of correct answers in 5 short games on one day, placed in fixed bands. There are no age norms or percentiles, and we make no accuracy claim. How every number is made is on the methodology page.
Conflicts of interest
- We sell the practice program. The test, its result and all guides are free. The program costs $9.99 a month or $39.99 a year; payments are processed by Creem as merchant of record. When the test ends, a window offers a free account and the paid plans.
- Paying changes no result. The result is calculated in your browser before any offer appears, in the same way whether or not you create an account or pay.
- The free levels are a way into the paid program. The first 5 levels of each age world are free with an account; the other levels need a subscription.
- The Android app is ours too. Dyscalculia: Numeracy & Math for Android is made by the same team and sold separately through Google Play. The web subscription does not unlock the app and the app subscription does not unlock the web program. The store button in the footer links to our own app.
- Sister products. Dyscalculia.io is an Indiex product. Indiex also makes Fashio AI, The Face Analysis and Dyslexia Steps; links to them in the footer, and to Dyslexia Steps on the about and statistics pages, are links to our own products.
- No advertising and no affiliate links. The site shows no ads and earns nothing from outbound links. Links to clinics', associations' and providers' price pages in the assessment cost tables are sources for the figures and carry no referral tag.
- No endorsement. No school, health service or professional body endorses Dyscalculia.io, and no page names an expert reviewer. If a qualified professional reviews a page, their name and role will be shown on it.
Errors and corrections
If something here is wrong, write to [email protected] with the page and what you found. We check it against the sources and the code; a confirmed correction is fixed and dated on the changelog.
Liability and other terms
The site is provided as is. The terms of use set out liability, accounts and subscriptions; the privacy policy explains what is stored and where; the refund policy explains cancellation.
